Exhibit Guidelines
· Current Member of Watercolor Society of South Texas.
· Current Member of the Art Center of Corpus Christi.
· May enter only three (3) paintings per exhibit.
· Entry fee of $9.00 per painting will be charged.
· Paintings must be completed within the last two years.
· Paintings must not have been shown in the Art Center’s Main Gallery in a previous judged or juried show.
· Paintings must not have been completed under instruction or supervision.
· No photography or digitally enhanced reproductions are admissible.
· All water based media will be accepted.
· Water based media, glued or fastened are acceptable. No More than 30% collage.
· Matt size, from the picture’s edge to the inside frame edge, shall be no smaller than 3.5 inches in width. There must be a minimum of 3.5 inches of mat showing.
· White or off white mats only, including inner mats, if used.
· Works exceeding “22 x 30” (full sheet) may be framed with or without a mat.
· All works must be framed.
· Glazing must be acrylic sheet or plexiglass; absolutely no glass is acceptable.
· Frames may be gold or silver if metal.
· No black frames will accepted.
· Wood frames may not exceed 2 inches in section width and must be a light-colored natural or neutral finish only. Dark finishes are not acceptable. No ornamentation or dark-colored frames are allowed.
· No saw tooth hangers or clip frames are permitted. Adequate wire hanger attached to eye screws set at 4 to 6 inches from the top of the frame only.
· No entries exceeding 72 inches in either direction will be accepted.
· The painting’s name, the artist’s name, the value of the painting and the artist’s telephone number are to be placed on a label and affixed to the upper right hand corner of the back of the work.
· Painting(s) must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit.
· Works not complying with these guidelines will not be accepted.
· Any works sold requires a 30% donation back to the Art Center of Corpus Christi.
